Jared Alosio

Jared is a senior at Duke University and will graduate this May, 2016 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Certificate in Aerospace Engineering.  He has completed many design projects throughout his Duke career that span several engineering disciplines, including designing a self-regulating greenhouse for the Duke Farm, controlling an electromagnet system, developing a scaled-down NACA 0024 airfoil wing, and most recently designing and manufacturing a 240-lb combat robot for my capstone design project.

 

In addition, Jared  had a biomechanics internship at Zimmer-Holdings, Inc. where he worked in the Extremities R&D Department, and has had several independent research projects.  He also worked on a controller subsystem for Ferrari S.p.A. and a quadcopter capable of autonomous waypoint tracking.
